How To Do A Hearing Test: Screening and Thresholds is an online course designed by Audiology Technology Solutions, LLC (ATS) to provide foundational knowledge and practical skills for conducting hearing screening and Thresholds. This course is ideal for new learners aiming to develop their skills and returning practitioners seeking a refresher.

The curriculum is structured into five units:

1. Introduction and Anatomy – Covers the anatomy of the human ear, including the outer, middle, and inner ear structures.

2. Hearing Test Basics – Introduces the audiogram, audiometer, and procedures for conducting hearing screenings.

3. Hearing Test Basics – Focuses on the audiogram, audiogram interpretation, audiometer and the screening.

4. Finding Thresholds – Air conduction and Bone conduction.

Each lesson includes clear text, visual aids, and video supplements to simplify complex concepts. Participants have access to Theta, a state-of-the-art simulation software, providing hands-on experience with virtual patients. Practice assignments offer instant feedback, and learners can complete each case multiple times to build confidence. Upon completing the course and passing the final quiz, participants earn a Certificate of Completion and become eligible for Theta Academy Certification.
