Meet Sheri Weiner, AuD
"My ultimate goal is to ensure I coach practice owners to be more prepared than I was. When asked how to keep practices from failing, considering downturns, disasters, and the pandemic my answer was “ Be prepared with savings and the willingness to pivot.” This is more than your practice management cookbook, it’s your roadmap to sustainable success. The result will be a long-term sustainable, repeatable business model."
Sheri Weiner, Doctor of Audiology, AuD, long-time Nashvillian, shares that helping the hearing impaired “got in her blood” in high school. Now, 40+ years later, she continues to pursue her passion, helping practice owners bring their compassion to others. Dr. Weiner started Hearing Services of Tennessee in the early ‘80s as a consulting audiology practice offering hearing care services in ENT offices. She had the opportunity to help many of pop, rock, jazz, and country music’s most famous artists with musician monitors and brought the world of sound back to the hearing impaired.
Dr. Weiner built her part-time practice Hearing Services of Tennessee into a multi-location business and now offers insight and consultative support to practice owners through her affiliation with Champion One Group as Vice President of Training and Development. Author of The Practice Kitchen: Clinical Audiology Practice Management, she provides guidance for strategic planning to ensure the long-term sustainability to practices through OnDemand courses and TPK: Live! seminars.
Active in local and state government, Sheri served as President of the Tennessee Hearing Society and Chair of the State Licensing Board for Hearing Aid Dispensers before serving as the Disciplinary Consultant to that same State Board. She was appointed to several Metro Nashville boards and commissions including the Board of Fair Commissioners for which she was elected Chair. Elected to the Metro Nashville Council from 2011 – 2019, Dr. Weiner was selected by her Council colleagues as President Pro Tempore, and appointed Vice Mayor of Nashville in 2018 (during which time she was proud to welcome the AAA attendees to Nashville). Dr. Weiner was re-elected to the Metro Council in August, 2023 for a third term. She currently Chairs the Metro Council Charter Revision Committee and was appointed to the Public Health and Safety Committee and the Government Operations Committee.
